DETAILS FROM ONE WORLD PROJECTS
The tradition of handcrafting baskets has been a part of the Rwandan culture for centuries and is passed down from generation to generation. Woven from natural sisal fibers and grasses at GAHAYA LINKS, these hand-dyed and handcrafted baskets make beautiful fruit bowls or decorative wall accessories.
Having started with a modest group of 20 artisans in 2004, GAHAYA LINKS now works towards the social and economic empowerment of over 4000 basket weavers in the region! Natural fibre basket making is a labor intensive and a highly skilled craft. Bring a touch of Rwandan culture into your space with these natural and eco-positive bowls.
