THE STORY & ARTISAN PROFILE
The Bike Basket was inspired by Pedale, a bike group in Gonaives started by a few of the local employees with the purpose of helping locals spend time in nature, appreciate the beautiful side of Haiti, and connect with others.
2nd Story Goods works with 3 artisan groups that produce the baskets they offer. The mastermind behind this remarkable bike basket is Guerson, an expert basket weaver now leading a collective of 8 other devoted artisans in Jubilee. With sustainable employment and living wages, these creatives are empowered—providing for their families with dignity and contributing to their community's growth.
Guerson is also the leader of the Pedale bike group. He loves riding himself and never misses a Pedale group ride!
